Who is Responsible for Cleaning Up Tree Debris?

The owner of the property on which the tree is rooted is the responsible party for cleaning up any tree debris regardless of where the debris landed. If it’s in the street or in your neighbor’s yard, you are still responsible for cleanup. If your tree caused property damage, you are responsible for that, as well.

All tree debris should be cleaned up as soon as possible, so additional damage to landscaping, personal property, and vehicles may be avoided.
