Rose Festival Call for Volunteers

The Rose Festival is in need of Parade Guides who will welcome people and monitor parade routes for all Rose Festival Parades: CareOregon Starlight (June 1), Fred Meyer Junior (June 5), and Grand Floral Parade (June 8). Float Decorators are always welcome too!
Parade Guides - Sign up to be at the heart of Portland's biggest celebration!
Portland Rose Festival is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help support the parade and ensure safety of participants and spectators. People who volunteer on parade days will receive a ticket into CityFair, four reserved seats at the Grand Floral Parade, and a 2024 commemorative t-shirt.
Your role as a Parade Guide will involve actively managing the closures surrounding the parade route, welcoming attendees to the parade, and guiding community members in way-finding around the parade area.
Register to volunteer to be a Parade Guide. Register by setting up an account with our partner, Portland Bureau of Emergency Management (PBEM) account with your name and email.
Float Decorators
You can get up close and personal with the beautiful floral floats as we prepare for the Grand Floral Parade. Along with a crew chief, you'll help paint the base colors for each float, then apply the matching organic materials which may include seeds, beans, rice and of course, FLOWERS!
Decorate Big Floats: June 1-7, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (3 hour shifts)
