THIS SATURDAY!!! August 27, 2022 is International Play Music on the Porch Day!

Join us for some music making outdoors on International Play Music on the Porch Day!

11:00 am - Cul-de-sac mini-concert on Campaign Street. Flute music through the years from the 16th through 20th Centuries, and genres from classical to popular.

1:00 pm - Music at the Commons. We’ll kick it off with some World Music violin/flute duets. After that, we want *everyone who plays an instrument, sings, yodels, or makes music in some way to step up and make music! There will be a sign-up sheet available at 1:00 pm, and performers will be called in order from the sheet. Please limit your selection(s) to five minutes. Time permitting, you may sign up and play again. No electricity is available, so plan on playing unplugged.

The event is planned from 1:00 - 2:30, but don't let anyone tell you to stop playing. (Unless it's nighttime, and you're in violation of the Noise Ordinance. Don't do that! And remember, the Commons closes at dusk.)

A section will be cordoned off on Failing Street for those who cannot access the Commons. Please provide your own seating.
