TBD Mark your calendars and join us for the 2018 City of Maywood Park Public Safety Summit. During this event, residents will have the opportunity to share experiences, ask questions, and collaborate on community safety ideas with neighbors, the city council, and the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office. SHERIFF'S OFFICE The city’s public safety liaison, Lt. Steve Bevens, and system analyst Kevin Morelli will share: Crime and Policing Statistics: Crimes reported, MCSO visits initiated, including comparisons over time. Monthly Patrol Statistics: How often does MCSO patrol the city, and for how long?Home/Vacation Checks: Learn about this service offered through MCSO, which includes perimeter checks on your home while you are away. Positive Community Policing: Hear more about the MCSO community policing philosophy. Making Your Home Safe: Tips for securing your home and property. Making Your Community Safe: What can you do to keep your neighbors and community safe?   COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITIES If you are interested in exploring ways to further your involvement in community public safety, we’ll be discussing the following opportunities: Citizen’s Academy: This is a free program designed to provide a working knowledge of the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office in a fun and Interactive way. The multi-week program covers a range of topics and includes tours of MCSO facilities. Ride Alongs: Always wonder about a day in the life of a sheriff’s deputy? Ride along and see community policing in action.

Join us this Saturday, Dec 3rd, at 7:00pm at the bump out at the intersection of Mason and Maywood Place for hot Chocolate, Christmas Music and visiting with neighbors as we light the annual Maywood Park Christmas Tree. Feel free to bring your favorite sweets.

The annual Maywood Park garage sale is June 28th - 30th this year! If you're interested in participating in sale please download and print this form, fill it out and return it to Karen Meyer at 9519 NE Campaign along with the $10 fee. Please make checks payable to 'Karen Meyer'. The fee will go to cover flyers, signs, balloons and garage sale brochure with map and lists of items at each location. Forms must be received no later than June 20, 2013! If you have any questions, please direct them to Suzenne Stopper at (503) 253-0325.

In an effort to make an informed decision regarding the possible sewering in the City of Maywood Park and or the replacement of failed cesspools we need to gather information in order to understand the number of homes with original cesspools still in use, and the number and age of cesspools that have been replaced.
